History of Our Company
I'm Shawn, the founder of our HVAC design service. My journey began in the United States Navy aboard the USS Yellowstone AD-41, where I was trained in sheet metal duct layout and fabrication. That experience instilled in me the discipline, precision, and work ethic that still guide my approach today.
After completing my service, I pursued formal training in heating and air conditioning at a respected trade school. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of working alongside some outstanding mentors who shaped my skills and deepened my understanding of the HVAC industry.
In 2003, I began working under a talented engineer who introduced me to the world of residential and light commercial HVAC design. It was here that I discovered my true calling—creating smart, efficient, and high-quality HVAC systems that deliver lasting comfort and performance.

Janet's Journey: From Education to HVAC Expertise
Hello, my name is Janet, and I am the owner of Right Check, LLC.
I have worked in the school system for over 25 years, first as a teacher, and for 21 years as a school counselor.
During my early working years, I worked in various businesses and even worked in New York City’s Emergency Medical Service. While working and going to college at the same time I was able to obtain my master’s degree in counseling. It wasn’t easy but then again, nothing worth having ever is. I have been blessed to have two wonderful children that have been an absolute blessing. I am an animal lover, and I try to do my part in supporting animal rescues, organizations, and shelters, locally, nationally and world-wide. St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, Relay for Life, and the Tunnel to Towers Foundation, are just a few of the other organizations I support.
During my journey I realized that I just enjoy helping people. I met Shawn in 2014, and we have been on this journey called life together since then. He introduced me to the world of HVAC and his passion for this industry pulled me in and so here I am 😊 .
What I bring to this company is my customer service skills, from my work experience in business, my strong listening skills, and making sure what is done here at Right Check is second to none.
